Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi are known for their power-hitting, and in the game against Punjab Kings, they unleashed their full might, hitting Punjab Kings bowlers all over the park. The two youngsters stitched an opening stand of 76 in just 29 balls, and eventually RR managed to score 89 in the initial six overs, their highest-ever Powerplay total in IPL.

The score of 89 in the six overs helped RR cross their previous powerplay highest-score of 87. It was registered few games back by the duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi against Gujarat Titans at the same venue. Yashasvi Jaiswal ended with a score of 50 from 25 balls while Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 40 from just 15 balls.
The two could not carry on and get big scores for their team, but they built a solid platform for the middle order in the run chase of 220. Before this season, RR's highest powerplay score was 85 against SRH in IPL 2023.

It is also the second fastest team fifty for RR in IPL history and the young left-handed duo is surely making all the right noises despite RR's dismal performance throughout the season.
The problem for RR has been the performance of the middle order, and in the game against Punjab Kings, they again faltered despite a fast and furious start.
