Match 4 of the Asia Cup 2023 will see Bangladesh taking on Afghanistan on Sunday at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. While this will be Afghanistan’s first game of the competition, Bangladesh have everything at stake in this fixture, especially after a five-wicket defeat against defending champions Sri Lanka in their tournament opener.

Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh must win this one anyway to keep themselves alive for the Super Four round. Since they, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka make up a relatively strong group, every match becomes extremely important.

Let us take a look at the Gaddafi Stadium's overall ODI records before the game begins.

Pakistan hosted Australia at home in the historic Gaddafi Stadium's inaugural ODI game in January 1978. This venue has hosted 64 ODI games overall since that time. Pakistan have triumphed over them on 33 occasions, while one match was tied and another ended in no result.
