Pakistan, the table-toppers of Group A will lock horns with Bangladesh in the Super Fours encounter of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 on Wednesday, September 6 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Bangladesh's Asia Cup 2023 campaign got off to a shaky start, as they suffered a five-wicket defeat at the hands of co-hosts Sri Lanka. However, they bounced back brilliantly in their next match against Afghanistan, securing a convincing 89-run victory to advance to the Super Four stage.

On the other hand, Pakistan kicked off their continental tournament campaign with a resounding 238-run win over Nepal in the opening match in Multan. However, their much-anticipated match against arch-rivals India had to be called off due to unfavourable weather conditions. The relentless rain never allowed the game to resume after India's first innings.

With Bangladesh getting ready to take on Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, in the Super Four clash, let’s take a look at the pitch conditions and predict how it might play:

PAK vs BAN: Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Pitch Report

So far, we have witnessed two high-scoring encounters at this venue in the tournament, and Wednesday’s game promises more of the same.

Lahore's pitch, as always, will be dry and flat, favouring the batters. The pitch might offer some seam for the pace bowlers later, especially under the lights. Whoever wins the toss should go for batting first and aiming for a big total. We have seen that big scores over 300 can be successfully defended here.
