The Sixers are the joint-most successful side in the history of the competition with Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat. Like the Thunder and the Heat, the Sixers have also lifted the elusive trophy twice in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. On the other hand, the Stars have never won the title having finished as the runners-up once in the 2020-21 edition.
