Since retiring from international cricket, the legendary Indian captain, MS Dhoni, has been actively engaged in various advertising projects. Dhoni's enduring popularity has made him a coveted figure, and companies are eager to leverage his immense appeal to promote their brands.

In a recent development, Lay's signed MS Dhoni as its brand ambassador, capitalizing on the cricket fervour generated by the ongoing 2023 World Cup, which also coincides with the festive season.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Lay's has partnered with Dhoni; he was first seen in the Lay's advertisement in 2008 when he shared the screen with Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

The latest Lay's television commercial featuring Dhoni is gaining attention on social media platforms, with the tagline - 'No Lay's, No Game.'

The concept behind this campaign is innovative and hasn't been explored before. It fulfills the dream of many fans to have a sporting legend like Dhoni visit their homes and spend time with them.

In this concept ad, Dhoni is depicted visiting a fan's home. Upon arrival, he announces his intention to watch a cricket match with the family. However, there's a condition - Lay's chips must be part of the experience. This prompts everyone in the house to search for Lay's chips.

At the conclusion of the advertisement, Dhoni takes selfies with the family members, enhancing the overall engagement of the campaign.

Turning to Dhoni's professional career, the renowned captain, who led India to victory in the 2011 World Cup, retired from international cricket in 2020. His last appearance on the field was during the 2023 IPL final between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT), where he guided CSK to their record-tying fifth IPL title.

However, he hasn't been active on the cricket field since then. Dhoni now exclusively participates in the IPL but recently indicated his intention to return for one more season before considering retirement from all forms of cricket.
