In an exciting, friendly cricket match aimed at raising awareness about tuberculosis (TB), Lok Sabha Speaker XI competed against Rajya Sabha Speaker XI in a T20 match. Kiren Rijiju got Anurag Thakur out with a beautiful delivery. But when the umpire gave it as no-ball, the Rajya Sabha team revolted against the decision in a hilarious manner.

Lok Sabha XI decided to bat first when they won the toss and took full advantage of that. Anurag Thakur's century anchored the innings, while Manoj Tiwari chipped in with a quick 13 runs off six balls. Rajya Sabha XI, led by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, failed to chase, scoring only 178 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Anurag Thakur remained undefeated on 111 off 65 balls and was the showstopper. His explosive innings, and 54 runs by Chandrakeshwar Azad, helped Lok Sabha XI post a massive total of 251 runs in 20 overs. However, Thakur was dismissed on 42 runs by opposition captain Rijiju before the umpire signalled a no-ball. The entire Rajya Sabha team erupted into celebration before the umpire conveyed his decision.

In a hilarious moment, the entire Rajya Sabha team revolted against the umpire's decision and refused to accept it. Kiren Rijiju and Raghav Chadha instead continued to persuade the umpire to overturn his decision.

However, the match official stood his ground, thus providing a lifeline for Anurag Thakur. He went on to latch on the second chance and slam a stylish hundred.

Anurag Thakur while speaking after the match emphasised that India has made huge progress in TB-related deaths, which have come down by 38%, and new cases have reduced by 18% in the last decade. He reiterated the government's commitment to making India TB-free by 2025, five years ahead of the global target. Kiren Rijiju also stressed the importance of fitness and spreading awareness through sports.
