Virender Sehwag, the former Indian cricketer and one of the legends of the game is leaving away from his wife Aarti Ahlawat according to a report from Hindustan Times. The report further states that the couple is all set for a divorce after 20 years of marriage, having tied the knot back in 2004.
They have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram and according to a source of Hindustan times, they have been staying apart from quite a few months. Recently, another Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal was also in news for his marriage issues and if the report about Sehwag's marriage is true, it would be another big shock for cricket fans around the world.
Wife's Absence From Social Media Posts Creates Mystery
Sehwag has two sons with his wife, one of them is Aryavir who is currently playing professional cricket just like his father while the younger son's name is Vedant, born in 2010. The rumours of Sehwag's indifferent relations with his wife have been further strengthen because of Aarti's absence from his recent Instagram posts.
The cricketer retired in 2015 and since then had donned variety of roles and is quite active on social media. His wife Aarti Ahlawat hails from Delhi and is two years younger than Virender Sehwag. She has a diploma in Computer Science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University while she also studied in Lady Irwin Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
The couple got married in a function hosted at the residence of late finance minister Arun Jaitley, and it remains to be seen how they react to the news of their divorce in media.
