Pakistan's premier fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, had become a father, and welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Ansha Afridi, during the ongoing Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. 

This good news was shared with the world when the Afridi family joyfully announced the news on social media. This moment is also significant for legendary Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi, as he becomes a grandfather for the first time. 

The new grandchild, named Aliyaar Afridi, has brought immense happiness to the Afridi family. In a touching and heartwarming video shared on social media, Shahid Afridi  welcomed his grandson and showcased immense love and pride.

The clip captured a heartening moment with two of Shahid Afridi's daughters eagerly watching, filled with joy to meet their new nephew. He further celebrated the arrival of his grandson and hosted a grand welcome at his home. 

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who married Ansha last year after their engagement in 2021, also shared his joy on Instagram and posted the first photo of his son along with a heartfelt message to mark this new chapter in his life on August 24.

It is important to mention that Shaheen Afridi's recent fatherhood might influence his availability for the second Test match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Given the personal significance of this moment, it's possible that Afridi may request leave from the PCB to be with his family, although no official statement has been made by the board yet. 

Pakistan's situation is already tense after a shocking defeat against Bangladesh in the first Test, which marked the fourth consecutive loss under new captain Shan Masood. 

If Shaheen Afridi, one of their key bowlers, is absent, it could further complicate their efforts to bounce back in the series.
