Finally, amid all the tension and negativity, Pakistan ace pacer Shaheen Afridi has some good news as he is expecting his first child with wife Ansha Afridi and is ready to embrace parenthood. The adorable couple got married in February last year in Karachi. 

Recently talking to Geo.tv. National side's red-ball coach Jason Gillispie stated that Shaheen Afridi can likely miss the Bangladesh Test matches as the cricketer is expecting his first child. He can take rest and likely spend time with his wife and family. 

"Shaheen can miss Bangladesh Test matches due to childbirth. We can give him [some] rest if he wants to stay with his wife till then," said the national side's red-ball coach Jason Gillispie as quoted by Geo.tv.


Shaheen Afridi & Wife Expecting First Child 

Pakistan will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, with the first Test starting from August 21.

The lovable couple tied the knot in February last year in Karachi following Islamic customs. Their marriage was a high-profile event, attracting attention from the cricketing world and beyond. 

Later on, on September 19, 2023, the couple celebrated their relationship with another wedding ceremony, followed by a grand valima ceremony on September 21, 2023.

Recently, the ace pacer has been in the limelight and grabbed all the news as there have been revelations that he has misbehaved with the coaches and management staff. Earlier, the Pakistan bowler was also in the spotlight after he was replaced by Babar as the white-ball skipper in March.
