On Friday, India and KKR star, Rinku Singh reportedly got engaged to Samajwadi Party MP, Priya Saroj. The news confirmation didn't come from Rinku or Priya Saroj, but as per reports, the two have been engaged. The cricketer generally keeps his life private and prefers to stay away from media as the news came as a shocker for his fans.

The date of marriage has not been revealed as of yet, but there are assumptions that the duo will tie the knot this year.

Who is Priya Saroj? Rinku Singh's fiancee

Priya Saroj is a Member of Samajwadi Party and is also a lawyer by profession. She is the daughter of Tufani Saroj, a three-time MP and current MLA of Uttar Pradesh.

She was elected as a Member of Parliament from Machhlishahr Lok Sabha constituency in 2024 General Elections. She completed her schooling and earned a degree in Bachelors of Arts from Delhi University.

Rinku Singh's professional journey

Rinku Singh rose to prominence during the 2023 IPL season when he smacked five sixes in a row to Yash Dayal in the clash betweem Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. Post that event, Rinku came into the limelight and was drafted in the India T20I squad.

Just like IPL, Rinku continued to show his excellence in the T20Is as well and delivered the goods in the game's shortest format. Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, the multi millionaire was retained by the franchise and he will continue to represent KKR in the upcoming IPL season.

He will next be in action against England in the 5-match T20I series, which is set to commence from January 22.
