When cricket, music and Bollywood collide, you know it is going to be a showstopper and that is exactly what happened at the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025. Afghanistan’s spin wizard Rashid Khan, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and rapper Badshah turned the Etihad Arena into a melting pot of energy, style and sport.

Ranveer Singh, the ever-energetic NBA India ambassador since 2021, was in his element courtside once again. The actor’s love for basketball is no secret and he made sure the Abu Dhabi crowd felt his infectious enthusiasm. Between greeting fans, meeting NBA stars, and clicking selfies, Ranveer truly owned the limelight but this time, he wasn’t alone.
Standing right beside him was Afghanistan’s superstar Rashid Khan, who was attending his first-ever basketball game. The leg-spin magician looked every bit the fanboy, soaking in the electric atmosphere.
Rashid later took to Instagram and wrote, “My first Basketball game to attend and it was so cool! Great to see my friend Ranveer Singh, Badshah, and meet other Red Bull athletes and champions on the court.”
A night to remember in Abu Dhabi
Ranveer was also the bridge between worlds. He was spotted interacting with Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody, singer-actor Victoria Justice and NBA stars Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) and Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks).
And then came Badshah who brought his signature swagger courtside. The picture of Ranveer, Badshah and Rashid posing together went viral in no time and fans couldn’t get enough.
Notably, the NBA Abu Dhabi Games weren’t just about hoops, it was about celebration, culture and connection. According to Gulf News, the star-studded crowd also included K-pop idols Chenle and WIN-WIN, Hollywood actors Kiefer Sutherland and Ed Westwick and even global influencers. The event had everything: fan zones, live performances and celebrity meet-and-greets.
Even off the court, the stars made the most of their time in the UAE, visiting Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. But the true highlight of the weekend was the frame featuring Rashid Khan with Ranveer Singh and Badshah.
