A seemingly relaxed MS Dhoni can be seen chilling with his friends in an old undated video. One can assume that the video was recorded somewhere near the cricketer’s hometown in Ranchi, as his friends can be heard speaking in Bihar’s dialect.

While there is not much to make out from the footage, scores of MS Dhoni fans on X found it wholesome to see their cricketing idol staying away from his usual limelight.

MS Dhoni was last seen on field during CSK’s triumphant run in the IPL 2023 season. The ‘Yellow Brigade’ thumped defending champions Gujarat Titans in the latter’s home ground in front of a record crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

While many speculated that IPL 2023 might well be Dhoni’s last season, the cricketer himself hinted out a possibility of his return next year.

The legendary wicketkeeper-batsman announced his international retirement in 2020, a full year after his final appearance for Team India at the 2019 World Cup semi-final.

During his playing days, he amassed over 17,000 runs across all formats, with 16 tons and 108 half-centuries. As a leader, he captained Team India to 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup wins, in addition to team’s success at the 2013 Champions Trophy.

To date, MS Dhoni remains one of the greatest white-ball captains to have ever graced the sport.
