Virat Kohli, a superstar Indian cricketer, has grabbed the limelight off the field for weird reasons. The cricketing star, who is a brand ambassador for sporting apparel brand PUMA, has reportedly bought the company after misspelled banners were spotted across the country.

Kohli, a mega sporting star, is a global phenomenon. He has a wide fan base across the world, and brands often rally behind him for endorsements.

Many years ago, when the batter was in his prime, PUMA, a sporting apparel giant, signed Kohli as a brand ambassador and later roped in his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma as well.

However, PUMA has created significant buzz on social media. A PUMA outlet in Hyderabad misspelled the iconic brand's name as "PVMA." Despite the logo remaining accurate, the misspelling has led to widespread confusion and speculation online, with many questioning the brand's credibility.

Does Virat Kohli have a role in 'PVMA' buzz?

PUMA has built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in the industry. Virat Kohli, who signed an 8-year endorsement deal with PUMA worth ₹110 crore, is one of the brand's most prominent ambassadors in India.

The mix-up at the Hyderabad outlet has led to countless memes and jokes, with some users humorously speculating that Kohli might have bought the brand and rebranded it as "PVMA." While this is far from the truth, the incident highlights how even a minor mistake can impact a brand's image and customer trust.

So far, neither Virat Kohli nor PUMA has made any statement regarding a takeover. The interesting discussion online will continue to last until the brand clarifies the reason behind the confusion.
