Having notched up their maiden ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Monday, Australian players are currently enjoying their time away from the sport ahead of their match against Pakistan on October 20.

Australia players along with support staff and family reached Bangalore on Tuesday and took the day off from training. Opener David Warner, who is quite famous in India for his social-medial antics, took to Instagram and congratulated Telugu actor Allu Arjun for winning the National Films Award.

Tollywood actor, Arjun won the 'Best Actor' award for the movie 'Pushpa', where he enacted the role of the titular character 'Pushpa Raj'. Warner is a bonified fan of Arjun and has often seen grooving to dance moves from Pushpa's songs 'Saami Saami' and 'Srivalli' including making reels and videos on Instagram.

Warner enjoys a massive fanbase within the Telugu-speaking population, and he has often expressed his love for the actor by doing signature moves of Pushpa Raj on the field regularly.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old will hope to find form soon, having scored just 65 runs in three World Cup outings in India.

The Pat Cummins-led side is placed eight in the points table with one win and two losses and will need to continue their winning march for as many games as possible if they want to qualify for the semi-finals.

However, they will find confidence in knowing all-rounder Travis Head has departed for India and will soon regroup with the squad.
