ZIM vs BAN: Mosaddek replaces injured skipper for third T20I 

In a recent development, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed Mosaddek Hossain Saikat's appointment as the skipper of the team for the third T20I of the Zimbabwe series, scheduled on 2nd August.

Mosaddek is set to replace injured Nurul Hasan as the captain of the team due to the latter's injury which he sustained in the previous fixture of the ongoing series.

Interestingly, the all-rounder claimed his maiden International fifer in the last fixture that saw Bangladesh level the series 1-1 with a seven-wicket victory.

"We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger. Such injuries take about three weeks to recover. He is therefore out of Tuesday's last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series," said Bangladesh team physio Muzadded Alpha Sany as quoted in BCB's press release.

ZIM vs BAN | Mahmudullah comes in squad 

As Hasan is now out of the final T20I, Mahmudullah Riyad has joined the squad. The veteran Bangladesh batter was handed a break in the T20Is, however, has now been called up to join the squad as he was already in Zimbabwe, preparing for the ODI leg of the tour.

The third T20I is slated to happen at Harare Sports Club on August 2.
