Former India captain MS Dhoni who was roped in as the mentor of the side for the World T20 2021 has been busy sharing his experience with the youngsters. Recently, during India’s warm-up match against Australia, Dhoni was spotted giving some wicket-keeping lessons to Rishabh Pant.
The Indian team began the proceedings well after R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scalped three early wickets. While Ashwin removed David Warner and Mitchell Marsh on two consecutive deliveries, captain Aaron Finch was undone by Ravindra Jadeja after being trapped in front of the stumps.
India will begin the campaign on Sunday against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai. The Men in Blue clinched the World T20 title back in 2007 after they defeated Pakistan in the final under the captaincy of Dhoni but the side never tasted success after the winning triumph in the inaugural tournament. They made it to the final in the 2014 edition but lost to Sri Lanka.
Dhoni has been one of the most successful captains in the world after he led India to three ICC trophies. After the 2007 World T20 win, India were also crowned champions in the 50-over World Cup in 2011 and then clinched the 2013 Champions Trophy under his leadership.
