Women’s Hundred | Davina Perrin becomes the youngest signed player in the Tournament

A 15-year-old Davina Perrin has become the youngest player to receive a contract in Women's Hundred Tournament history. She will join the Birmingham Phoenix from the 2022 season.

She graduated from the Ebony Rainford-Brent's ACE programme, managed by former cricketer Ebony Rainford, which has a motive to develop Black cricketers.

Perrin expressed happiness to have the opportunity to play alongside experienced cricketers like Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, and Amy Jones.

"It's a dream come true to have signed for Birmingham Phoenix this summer," Perrin said. "To have the opportunity to train and potentially play alongside the likes of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, and Amy Jones is amazing, and I can't wait to get going."

She played for the Central Sparks team, who emerged as a runner-up in the 2022 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup and contributed 30 runs at an average of 15.

In the ongoing Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, Perrin started with a contribution of 22 in the opening fixture of Sparks.

16-year-old Mahika Gaur secures a contract with Manchester Originals

Mahika Gaur made her international debut for United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the age of 12 and has featured in a total of 14 T20Is. She has signed up with Manchester Originals for the 2022 edition.

In the recently completed U19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, Gaur scalped 11 wickets in five appearances, with the best figures of 5/9. With these performances, she helped the UAE team to lift the title and qualify for the 2023 edition of the U19 Women's World Cup in South Africa.

The second edition of the Women's Hundred will be played from August 11 to September 3.
