West Indies and Australia will be up against each other in the second ODI of the three-match series in Barbados on Friday.
The visitors had a brilliant start to the proceedings in the ODI fixtures after Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood rattled the West Indies batting line up to bundle them out for 123 while chasing 253 in a rain-curtailed encounter.
Starc scalped a fifer while Hazlewood returned with three wickets during the course.
The visitors though suffered a blow after regular skipper Aaron Finch had to miss the first ODI after the right-handed batsman had sustained a knee injury in the fifth T20I against the Caribbean side while batting. A release from Cricket Australia earlier said that his availability would be assessed on a "day to day basis”.
On the other hand, West Indies who had come into the series on the back of an emphatic series win in the T20Is lost momentum in the first ODI and witnessed a batting collapse. While the hosts would try to level the series, the Aussie team would be looking to continue domination.
