Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to host a match with a deeper significance on Saturday, April 6 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. They will clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in what's dubbed the Pink Promise Match, donning special all-pink kits as a salute to the women of Rajasthan.

This event is more than just a game; it's a pledge wrapped in pink, signifying the Royals' commitment to women-led transformation across Rajasthan and beyond.

Royals embrace pink for Pink Promise match vs RCB in support of women's empowerment

The Pink Promise match is a cornerstone of the Royals' efforts to support the empowerment of Rajasthan's women, underpinned by their Foundation's mantra, "Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai" (If there is a woman, there is India).

The matchday will see the Rajasthan Royals' players wearing not just any pink jersey but a special edition kit bearing the names of some of the Rajasthan Royals Foundation’s (RRF) women beneficiaries as tribute to the lives they've touched and changed.

Since its inception in 2019, the RRF has been at the forefront of creating opportunities for the empowered women of Rajasthan, focusing on equitable access to essential resources like water, livelihoods, clean energy, and mental health.

The Royals are now stepping up their game, leveraging the Pink Promise match to illuminate homes across the Sambhar region with solar power, thereby batting for a cleaner, more sustainable environment.

The day promises to be a cultural fiesta, a celebration of Rajasthani heritage and female power, with homegrown women cultural artists and entertainers taking the stage before the match.

Adding a grainy touch to the proceedings, a Rajasthani sand artist will showcase a solar panel-themed sand art.

Furthermore, the presence of women beneficiaries from the Foundation and inspirational female figures from Rajasthan aims to highlight the remarkable contributions of women to the state's pride and progress.

Notably, the Royals have pledged that for every six scored during the match, they, along with the Royal Rajasthan Foundation, will light up six homes with solar power in the Sambhar region. With 24 sixes already under their belt in three matches, the Royals will look to add significantly to that tally.

As they prepare to face RCB, the Royals, positioned second on the points table and neck-and-neck with KKR, are not just playing for points but for a cause that promises to leave a lasting impact beyond the boundary ropes.
