The first day of the IPL 2025 mega auction auction took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where many high-profile players made headlines and grabbed the spotlight as the 10 franchises opened their wallets to secure priority players from their shortlists.
Leading the way, the LSG spent an astonishing Rs 27 crore to acquire star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. Overall, the franchises collectively spent a remarkable Rs 467.95 crore during the opening day of the two-day auction. Out of 577 players presented, a total of 84 were presented, and 68 of them were sold, while four players were retained via the Right-to-Match card
The Punjab Kings emerged as the most aggressive buyers, armed with the largest remaining budget of Rs 110.50 crore. They successfully purchased eight players for a total of Rs 88 crore.
On Monday, 32 more players will be presented at the auction, and the accelerated bidding process will begin from player No. 117 onwards. So ahead of the auction, let's take a look at the time details for day 2.

What Time Will The IPL Mega Auction 2025 Start And End On Day 2?
Following a successful Day 1 of the mega auction, Day 2 is scheduled to commence on Monday, November 25, at 1 PM local time, with India time at 3:30 PM IST. This slight delay in the start time has been strategically arranged to accommodate the ongoing Test match between India and Australia, which is expected to conclude around 3:20 PM IST.
It is important to note that, the exact end time of the auction remains flexible, reports indicate that the bidding is expected to wrap up around 11:30 PM IST on day 2.
