Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was supposed to don the legendary number 10 jersey for Pakistan in the series against New Zealand is hugely disappointed by the cancellation of the series.
Shaheen who was the first person after legendary Pakistan all-rounder and former skipper Shahid Afridi to take up that number feels he has no words to describe the disappointment endured by the whole nation after the cancellation of the series by the New Zealand team unilaterally citing security concerns.
The 21-year-old Afridi also said that Pakistan has one of the best security forces and many teams and players of foreign countries have toured the nation in the past hassle-free.
Earlier on September 16, Shaheen, who has so far represented Pakistan in 71 internationals announced that he was being honoured with the number 10 being awarded as his new jersey number.
"It represents honesty, integrity and immense love for Pakistan. I am humbled and honoured that I will be now representing Pakistan in shirt # 10 of Lala," he tweeted.
Earlier, Shaheen had the No.40 on his jersey. The left-arm pacer, who made his debut in 2018, has so far scalped 161 wickets across all formats.
