The Indian team looked charged and ready as they set foot on the Ekana Stadium grounds for their Thursday evening training session ahead of the World Cup 2023 clash against England.

Dressed in their striking orange training jerseys, the ambiance of the venue was beautifully captured as the players sweated it out on the field.

The spotlight, however, was undeniably on the dynamic duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two stalwarts, known for their charisma and skills, were seen pushing each other, honing their fielding skills, giving a glimpse of their commitment ahead of the crucial World Cup tie against England.

Both Rohit and Kohli were engrossed in fielding drills, evident from a video that has since gone viral on social media platforms. Fans were treated to the sight of the Indian captain, and Kohli, sweating it out in synchronization as they took short catches and practiced some throws.

The training session wasn't just limited to fielding. Catches, from skyscrapers to those close to the ground, were rigorously practiced. Adding to the intense scene was coach Rahul Dravid, who made several attempts to send the ball over the boundary, ensuring that the fielders stationed in the deep were always on their toes.

However, it's worth noting that a couple of prominent names - Mohammed Shami and Ishan Kishan - were missing from this optional nets session.

Meanwhile, India, under Rohit's captaincy, has been enjoying a spectacular run in the World Cup 2023. With an unbeaten record of five victories from five matches, India stands atop the points table with a perfect 10 points to their name. Their conquests include notable wins against cricketing giants such as Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand as well as Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

With their match against England slated for Sunday, October 29 in Lucknow, a victory would nearly cement India's place in the semi-finals.
