Delhi Capitals painted the town red, and every other colour of the rainbow, as they joyously celebrated the festival of Holi upon their arrival in Jaipur.

The historic festival, known for its exuberant play with coloured powders and water, found a merry band of cricketers from both Indian and overseas origins, including the likes of David Warner, Anrich Nortje, and Mitchell Marsh, diving into the festivities with gusto alongside team captain Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, and Ishant Sharma among others.

The team's head coach, Ricky Ponting, was also seen embracing the spirit of the festival, sporting a face full of 'gulaal' as proof of the day's colourful escapades.

Delhi Capitals shared this moment of jubilation through a video on their Instagram handle, which quickly spread like wildfire across social media platforms, drawing smiles and admiration from fans worldwide.



Meanwhile, this celebration came as a breath of fresh air and a much-needed break for the team, which had faced a stumbling block in their IPL 2024 opener. 

Despite putting a competitive 174/9 on the scoreboard, the Capitals were unable to clinch victory against the Punjab Kings, succumbing to a four-wicket loss.

The fast bowlers, in particular, bore the brunt of the assault, leaving the team in search of a formula to bounce back. As the Delhi Capitals gear up for their upcoming challenge against Rajasthan Royals on March 28, the team looks in great spirits.
