New Zealand team has touched down in India for the forthcoming 2023 World Cup on September 28, i.e., a day prior to their planned warm-up fixture against Pakistan in Hyderabad. The Kiwi players were seen stepping out of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport amidst tight security, thus making their way to the team hotel.

New Zealand team, under Kane Williamson, is slated to face Pakistan and South Africa in their warm-up fixtures on September 29 and October 2 respectively. While their Pakistan affair will be played in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium behind closed doors, they will subsequently travel to Thiruvananthapuram to face South Africa to mark their final pre-World Cup 2023 outing.

Prior to their first warm-up, New Zealand team players were seen touching down at the Hyderabad airport on September 28.

Notably, New Zealand’s first outing this tournament will also mark the first competitive game for skipper Kane Williamson since April this year. The batting veteran slumped to a knee injury during the opening match of the IPL 2023 season in India, which kept out of action for the subsequent six months.

As of now, he is expected to lead his side to the fullest for the warm-ups as well as in New Zealand’s opening World Cup 2023 fixture against defending champions England.

Their high-profile match-up will be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. As Kane Williamson and co. brace themselves for the cricketing carnival, here is a look at New Zealand’s entire 15-player World Cup 2023 squad:
