In the 2021-22 Marsh Cup final, Western Australia all-rounder Hilton Cartwright displayed wonderful athleticism by holding on to a blinder to get rid of New South Wales captain Moises Henriques.
D'Arcy Short was bowling in the 45th over of the innings when Henriques came down the pitch and muscled the ball flat and hard towards the straight long-on area. It seemed as if Henriques had struck the ball pretty well for a maximum but Cartwright's extraordinary piece of athleticism left everyone stunned. He ran about 10 yards to his left and leapt horizontally, taking a brilliant catch to leave Henriques and others in awe.
The catch was pivotal when it comes to the situation of the game as Henriques was threatening to take the game away from the Western Australians. However, Cartwright changed the course of the match with his acrobatic screamer, eventually helping his team win the match as well as the tournament.
