In a game filled with incredible moments and outstanding performances, it was Maia Bouchier's incredible run-out that truly enthralled the fans during Friday's Women’s Hundred 2023 match between Southern Brave Women and Welsh Fire Women at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.

Bouchier's sensational run out was the highlight of the game

A moment of sheer brilliance unfolded as Bouchier's laser-like throw from the boundary caught Laura Harris short of her crease, leaving the spectators and commentators in awe.

Welsh Fire Women were riding high at 100/1 on the 51st ball of their innings. Hayley Matthews hoicked the ball towards long on and looked to steal a double with her partner, Laura Harris.

The duo successfully completed the first run and were on the verge of the second when Bouchier, fielding at long-on, unleashed a bullet throw.

The accuracy and speed of Bouchier's throw were such that Harris, who had played a brisk innings of 20 off just 7 balls, found herself short of the crease.

The sensational runout turned heads and was replayed multiple times on the big screen, each viewing drawing gasps from the crowd.

Southern Brave Women started in an emphatic manner but fell painfully short in their chase, despite strong performances from Smriti Mandhana (70 off 42) and Danielle Wyatt (67 off 37), losing the game by just four runs.

The match marked Welsh Fire Women's first win of the season, and Southern Brave Women's first loss after a winning start to the competition.
