In the middle of preparation for the second Test, Pakistani players visited the Australian nets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Monday to celebrate Christmas and give gifts to the Australian players and their families. Of all of them, Babar Azam's endearing gesture attracted the most attention.

During the Christmas celebrations in both Pakistan and Australia, a video went viral on social media, showing Usman Khawaja's elder daughter hugging former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. As the Australian opener looked on, Aisha Khawaja gracefully hugged Babar.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected Khawaja's latest gesture of solidarity with Gaza victims for the Boxing Day Test against Pakistan in Melbourne. The ICC reprimanded Khawaja for wearing a black armband during the Test series opener in Perth after he was banned from wearing 'All Lives Are Equal' and 'Freedom Is A Human Right' shoes.

The 36-year-old submitted an application to the board on Saturday to wear 'Black Dove with Olive Tree' shoes, which was later rejected as well.

Having taken a 1-0 lead, Australia are set to take Pakistan again on Tuesday (December 26) in Boxing Day Test at iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
