[Watch] Babar Azam Catches Up With Rohit Sharma Before World Cup 2023

With just 24 hours remaining until the commencement of one of the biggest sporting events of this year, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, all captains will gather in Ahmedabad today and attend a meeting. 

This event will provide a last chance for captains to meet and greet each other as friends before they face off against familiar faces once the tournament starts.

Ahead of the captain's meet, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam caught up with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in Ahmedabad upon reaching the hotel accommodation. 

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a clip of Azam's journey from Hyderabad to Ahmedabad, where the ace batter took a private charted flight.

The 24-year-old could be seen clicking photos with the flight crew and also receiving a traditional welcome at the hotel, which is to host the ICC event.

Pakistan have been based out of Hyderabad ever since they arrived in India. On the other hand, Sharma flew in from Thiruvananthapuram, where team India was present till this morning. The squad, along with support staff, have departed for Chennai. 

Azam-led Pakistan will face the Netherlands in their opening WC encounter on October 6 at Hyderabad, while Sharma and Co. will lock horns against five-time winners Australia on October 8 at Chennai.
