The Indian team management has sought clarifications regarding the sanctity of the biosecure bubble after six members of the New Zealand side went to a golf club nearby the hotel where both teams are under isolation, Cricbuzz reported.
Six members of the New Zealand side who went on the trip to the golf course were Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Daryl Michell and physio Tommy Simsek, the report added.
The golf course is situated in the premises of the hotel only but as per the report, the Indian team demanded uniformity in adherence to the biosecure bubble protocols. As per them, they have been strictly told not to leave tier floors while the Blackcaps went ahead with their plan.
"The players and families have all been formally told not to move out of their respective floors inside the hotel unless it is for visiting the ground. Now, this morning we came to know six Kiwis playing in the golf course," Cricbuzz quoted an unhappy Indian team member as saying.
However, the International Cricket Council has denied any breach of protocol by the New Zealand side after transiting into the ICC bubble for World Test Championship from the ECB biosecure bubble after the Test series against England.
