Salt stitched crucial stands with Wayne Madsen (20) and Tristan Stubbs (16), before both of them were dismissed by the experienced Benny Howell.
Kane Richardson sent Salt (56 off 38) back to the hut. However, Tom Lammonby smoked 26* off 12 to provide a late blitz and help Originals to post 154.
Tom Hartley crushes Phoenix to lowest-ever total
Tom Hartley took 4/22 (PC: Twitter)
Phoenix lost Miles Hammond and Moeen Ali early in the first over, courtesy of brilliance from Tom Hartley.
It took the 47-run stand between Will Smeed (31) and Chris Benjamin (13) to keep the team up and running in their pursuit of chasing a stiff total.
However, Joshua Little and Hartley ran down the remaining line-up in quick succession, resulting in Phoenix getting all-out on 75, which is the lowest-ever total in the tournament.
Hartley finished with figures of 4/22 and was named Player of the Match.
