Team Abu Dhabi marched ahead in the T10 League after beating Bangla Tigers by 7 wickets in the Eliminator match. Chasing a target of 102, Abu Dhabi went over the line with more than three overs to spare.
Openers Paul Stirling and Philip Salt gave a perfect start as the two put 81 runs for the first wicket on the board before Stirling was sent back in the hut for a well compiled 57 off 20 deliveries. Stirling struck five maximums and as many fours during the course.
Salt on the other hand chipped in with 24 off 12. Team Abu Dhabi lost some wickets at the end but that didn’t really create much of a problem for them as they went over the line quite comfortably.
Earlier, the Bangla Tigers had a dismal start to the proceedings as they were reduced to 28/4 but Zazai’s 66 off 37 helped them put 101/4 in 10 overs. But his knock eventually went in vain as the side lost the game.
Team Abu Dhabi will now lock horns with Delhi Bulls and the winner of this game will go into the final where they will meet Deccan Gladiators.
