'Stop Being Insensitive': Deepak Chahar's Sister Slams Trolls For Mocking Pacer's Injury

Deepak Chahar, the talented CSK fast bowler, recently found himself at the receiving end of online trolling after sustaining an injury in the CSK vs PBKS clash. However, his sister stepped up to defend him and call out the insensitive behaviour of the trolls.

CSK were already on the backfoot against PBKS in IPL 2024 clash as batters managed only 162 runs in first innings which was way below par given how dew settled in the later half of the game. 

To rub salt on CSK’s wounds, Deepak Chahar, the team’s strike pacer, was seen exiting the field after bowling just 2 deliveries into the game. Chahar opened the bowling attack for CSK.

But after the second delivery, he pulled a muscle off his thigh, and after a long huddle with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Chahar decided to walk off the field.

Needless to say, the absence of a strike bowler cost CSK the game and fans weren’t happy with Deepak Chahar being constantly susceptible to injuries. Many even trolled him on social media platforms which forced his sister, Malti Chahar, to jump in his defense.

Malti Chahar, actress by profession, took to her X account (Twitter) to call out toxic fans for being insensitive towards her brother. 

She added that no athlete ever enjoys being injured, and Deepak Chahar is no different. He’s trying his best to recover, and she expressed confidence in her brother’s ability to bounce back. 

Notably, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming revealed that he does not have a good feeling about Chahar’s injury. The initial prima facie isn’t encouraging, and hence, they’re waiting for physios and doctors to take a closer look and determine the severity of the injury.
