It was a close call for Sourav Ganguly’s daughter, Sana Ganguly, on Friday evening in Kolkata. A bus rammed into her car near Behala Chowrasta, a stone’s throw from the Ganguly residence.

The incident, which took place around 6:30 pm, left her car with a few bruises but thankfully caused no harm to Sana.

Sourav Ganguly's daughter's accident happened when a Kolkata-to-Raichak bus hit Sana’s car from behind on the Thakurpukur-bound flank of Diamond Harbour Road. Sana, seated inside the car, stayed calm as her driver chased down the bus, which had decided to make a run for it.

The bus was stopped near Sakher Bazar after a swift pursuit. Sana wasted no time and informed the police, who were quick to reach the spot. The driver of the bus was detained on the spot, putting an end to the drama.

While the car didn’t come out unscathed, with some minor damages reported, it could have been a lot worse. The fact that Sana walked away without a scratch is a relief for everyone. 

No formal complaint has been filed yet, but the incident left a dent. on the car and in the minds of those involved. Meanwhile, Sana’s composure during the incident and her driver’s alertness ensured the situation didn’t spiral out of control.
