Former India cricketer advised Pakistan to bring back the pacers from on one as India batters Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya have managed to steady the ship to an extent.

Pakistan's legendary speedster Wasim Akram also was in agreement with Shastri's opinion as the former stated that Babar Azam and Co. should continue to hunt for wickets rather than saving the overs of their best bowlers till the final overs of the innings.

"Indian batters are easing out with the spinners bowling from both ends. Wickets have come from the pacers and it's better to get one of them from one end," Shastri said on-air in the commentary box.

He also believed that as rain threat is looming large over the fixture and it may lead to deduction in the overs, Pakistan should bring their pacers to the attack.

"With rain around we might not get all the overs in and so it's better to chip in with the wickets," he added.

"Bowling out opposition is better instead of thinking of overs in the death," Akram said as quoted.

The Pakistan skipper Babar obliged to the duo's suggestion as he handed the ball to Shaheen Shah Afridi, who dismissed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, in the 25th over of the innings.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya are leading India's resurgence with their ongoing 88-run partnership. The score reads 155/4 after 31 overs with Kishan batting on 58* runs.
