The month of November remained action-packed for cricket fans as ICC Mens ODI World Cup 2023 reached its conclusion. After a carnival of 45 days, Australia emerged victorious to clinch its sixth title. Thus, the nominees for the ICC Player of the Month Award for November included names of World Cup heroes.

The 3 nominees for POTM

No prizes for guessing the first nominee, Travis Head. He announced his comeback into the ODI set-up in style by bagging POTM awards for the pivotal semi-finals and finals clash against South Africa and India, respectively.

Head scored 220 runs in five ODIs in November with an average of 44, which included a half-century and an exceptional ton. Besides World Cup heroics, Travis also hit 35 runs off 18 balls against India during the third match of the five-game T20 series.

Next up is Glenn Maxwell, who played a magnificent knock to remember against Afghanistan. Maxwell brought his career-maiden double hundred with a cramped body to lift his side to the knockout stages.

Additionally, Maxwell slammed 204 runs at an average of 204 with a strike rate of 152.23 in his three ODI outings in November. Also, the all-rounder featured in the T20 bilateral series and clubbed an additional 116 runs.

The last but not the least is Indian World Cup hero Mohammad Shami. An injury to Hardik Panyda worked as a blessing in disguise as the Shami went on a rampage. He scalped 15 wickets at an overall average of 12.06 with an economy rate of 5.68 in November.

Not only that, Shami finished his World Cup campaign as the highest wicket-taker with 24 dismissals in hand. Some of his notable figures include 5/18 against Sri Lanks, 2/18 against South Africa, and 7/57 against New Zealand during the semi-finals.

The voting lines for the award are open now, and fans can vote for their favorite nominee. After the process concludes, the winner will be announced accordingly.
