Shaheen Afridi has confirmed he is still on good terms with captain Babar Azam despite their recent Asia Cup 2023 fallout. The speedster took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a heartwarming picture of himself having a seemingly friendly chat with his skipper.

His one-word caption won over fans of the two cricketers, thus confirming no love has been lost between both Pakistani legends after their Asia Cup 2023 debacle.

Shaheen Afridi shares heartwarming post for fans

Pakistan lost back-to-back Super Four matches to India and Sri Lanka last week to get crashed out of the Asia Cup 2023 race. Following their last-ball defeat to Sri Lanka, captain Babar Azam and ace speedster Shaheen Afridi were apparently involved in a dressing room argument with each other.

With mere weeks remaining for the 2023 World Cup in India, their off-field tussle worsened Pakistan's preparations. It had already taken a beating with the recent set of key-player injuries and Asia Cup 2023 humiliation.

Fortunately for Pakistan fans, no love is lost between Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, as the latter confirmed their prevailing friendship on the micro-blogging site. Sharing a simple picture of the two having a chat, Afridi wrote "Family" in the caption.

The Pakistan cricket team is gearing up to play the 2023 World Cup in India. The 'Men in Green', set to be helmed by Babar Azam, will play their opening match of the tournament against Netherlands on October 6.

The match is slated to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
