Shadab Khan Spotted With Sanju Samson Ahead Of World Cup 2023 [Check Pics]

Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan was recently spotted having a chat with India’s World Cup 2023 reject Sanju Samson. Khan, along with the rest of his Pakistan teammates, arrived in Hyderabad on September 27, i.e., two days prior to their World Cup 2023 warm-up fixture against New Zealand.

Earlier this month, Sanju Samson was excluded from Team India’s 15-member World Cup 2023 squad as the selection committee decided to back Suryakumar Yadav for the middle-order instead. Despite his recent snubbing, Samson was invited to a recent World Cup promotional event, which was also attended by Pakistan vice-captain and star all-rounder Shadab Khan.

Both Khan and Samson were seemingly engaged in a friendly conversation with each other, and were seen sharing a laugh together.

Samson played the last of his internationals for Team India during their West Indies tour in August. He was subsequently excluded from team’s Asia Cup 2023 squad as well as from India’s three-match home ODI series against Australia.

Shadab Khan, on the other hand, set base in Hyderabad for the imminent World Cup 2023 off the back of a disastrous Asia Cup 2023 outing in Sri Lanka. Under Babar Azam’s leadership, the ‘Men in Green’ lost their crucial Super Four fixtures at the hands of Sri Lanka and India to get knocked out from the finals’ race.

Pakistan will now face New Zealand and Australia at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in their warm-up fixtures. Babar Azam and co. will eventually launch their tournament campaign with a match against Netherlands at the same venue on October 6.
