Sai Sudharsan might well be making his return to the Indian playing XI in the upcoming fourth Test of the series against England. A day prior to the match at Old Trafford in Manchester, the cricketer was spotted visualizing his batting on top of the covers.

It is worth noting that Sudharsan made his Test debut earlier in the ongoing series, when he was picked for the first Test match at Headingley in Leeds. After registering scores of 0 and 30 across both innings, the stylish left-hander was dropped for the second Test in favor of all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Sai Sudharsan Sends Selection Signal From Rainy Manchester

On Tuesday, July 22, i.e., a day prior to the fourth Test of the five-match series between India and hosts England, visiting batter Sai Sudharsan was spotted performing shadow batting amid a slight drizzle at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Seemingly unfazed by the weather, the young southpaw appeared to relish the moment, lost in his own rhythm as he visualized every stroke with quiet intensity. A short 30-second video of the same was shared on social media by ESPNCricinfo.

Sai Sudharsan played the first Test of the tour in Leeds, only to be dismissed for a four-ball duck by Ben Stokes on his debut innings. The cricketer conjured 30 fighting runs in the second innings from 48 balls as India set up a 371-run target for the hosts.

Following India’s defeat, the team management made certain changes to the playing XI, prompting young Sudharsan to be benched in Birmingham and Lord’s.

With India trailing 1-2, Shubman Gill and co. will now face England in Manchester in the fourth Test of the series between July 23 and July 27.
