IPL 2025 is still 9 months away, but it seems the buzz has already started. The mega auction will take place ahead of IPL 2025 and the teams will try and lure other players to join their squad.

Last season, the Mumbai Indians franchise witnessed a turmoil, as Hardik Pandya was appointed their new skipper. Rohit was the leader for the last 10-years, but out of nowhere, he was replaced by the former Gujarat Titans captain.

As a result, Hardik faced a lot of backlash from the fans, and the team's performance was disastrous as he finished at the last position. There were reports circulating that the MI team is divided into two groups, with the majority of the players supporting Rohit.

Now, fresh reports have emerged, which state that Rohit could leave Mumbai ahead of the next season and a lot of other franchises are interested in making him their captain. Similarly, another of Rohit's ally, Suryakumar Yadav is also being touted to leave MI, in order to become a captain of one of the other IPL teams.

Also, there is a huge possibility that Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain could also leave the franchise. He shared a close bond with then head coach Ricky Ponting, and now Ponting being sacked by the Delhi team, CSK could capitalise on the opportunity. 

Pant shares a close bond with CSK legend and former captain MS Dhoni, and he could tempt the dashing batter to become their new captain.
