Rohit and his compatriots touched down in the Caribbean on July 2, however, their arrival was not without attention, as the Indian captain's clean-shaven appearance quickly became a viral sensation on social media. Fans were immediately flooded with nostalgia as they reminisced about the early days of Rohit's career when he sported a similar look.
Meanwhile, on Monday, a day after their arrival in West Indies, the Indian team engaged in a spirited volleyball session at a picturesque Barbados beach. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) captured this lively moment and shared it on Twitter. Amidst the playful session, Rohit actively participated as he showcased his new look.
Leading up to the Test series, the Indian squad will embark on a comprehensive week-long training camp. Moreover, they are expected to participate in a couple of practice matches to acclimatize with the conditions before the inaugural Test against the West Indies next week.
Furthermore, the much-anticipated One Day Internationals (ODIs) will be hosted in Barbados and Trinidad with the latter also being the venue for the first T20I. The second and the third T20Is will be played in Guyana. Wrapping up the tour with a flourish, the final two encounters are set to unfold in Lauderhill, Florida.
