The Indian team has announced its squad for the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament, with former Indian star Robin Uthappa named as captain. The Indian squad for the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes includes a mix of experienced players and recent standouts, making for a formidable lineup. 

Earlier the Indian team has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament, set to kick off on November 1, 2024. Returning to the international stage after a seven-year hiatus, this iconic tournament will feature a unique, fast-paced format that promises a series of exhilarating matches.

The seasoned Robin Uthappa will be leading the team. Known for his explosive batting and ability to accelerate the game, Uthappa has been a consistent performer throughout his career, from IPL triumphs to his contributions in international cricket. 

Kedar Jadhav is also included in the team to add balance. His knack for finishing games with a cool head and his unorthodox off-spin will be valuable asset in the tournament for the Indian side.  A familiar face in India’s limited-overs circuit, Stuart Binny will bring all-round capabilities to the team. Known for his powerful strokes and medium-pace bowling, his contributions could be crucial for the team. 

Manoj Tiwary inclusion in the squad is also a important step as his aggressive batting and reliable fielding will bring a lot to the team. Tiwary’s quick scoring ability and his experience in T20 leagues make him a crucial middle-order batsman, poised to play a significant role in the tournament. 

A powerhouse at the crease, Bharat Chipli’s aggressive batting style aligns well with the needs of the Sixes format. Shahbaz Nadeem, the left-arm spinner, will be a vital player for the side. His sharp turn and precise line will be crucial in the middle overs when restricting runs becomes essential. 

Completing the team is wicketkeeper-batsman Shreevats Goswami, known for his sharp glovework and quick reflexes. Goswami will be critical behind the stumps, especially in the compact field setup of the Sixes format. As a dependable lower-order batsman, he also has the potential to score briskly if needed.
