Team India will travel to the Caribbean later this July, where they will lock horns with the West Indies in 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is.
According to a report published in CricBuzz, the Rohit Sharma-led unit will kickstart their 20-day tour with the ODI series commencing on July 22 in Trinidad & Tobago.
The iconic Queens Park Oval in Trinidad will host the three ODIs on July 22, 24 and 27.
The action will then move to the newly-built Brian Lara Stadium, where the first T20I of the five-match series will be played on July 29.
Warner Park in St. Kitts and Nevis will play host to the next couple of T20Is on August 01 & 02, respectively, before the caravan moves to Lauderhill in Florida for the last fixtures. The final two T20Is will be played on August 06 & 07.
"Those are the dates and the schedule will be announced once the clearance from the US comes. We are waiting for the sanctioning from the US. The India series is still about three months away but medical protocols will have to be adhered to as needed," a top CWI official told Cricbuzz.
The Indian team will land in Trinidad on July 18, following the culmination of their trip to England, where they will play three T20Is and as many 50-over games, along with a solitary Test match, between July 1-17.
Prior to that, the 'Men in Blue' will lock horns with Ireland in a couple of T20Is on June 26 & 28. Two separate batches are expected to embark on the trip to Ireland & England on June 20 following the completion of a five-match T20I series against the Proteas on home soil.
India last toured the Caribbean back in 2019 and returned triumphant, with the Virat Kohli-led unit outplaying the hosts in all three formats (3-0 in T20Is, 2-0 in ODIs, and 2-0 in Tests).
