  • Raymon Reifers All Round Masterclass Leads Jamaica To A Thumping Victory

Raymon Reifer's all-round masterclass leads Jamaica to a thumping victory

The sixth match of the ongoing Men's 6ixty competition saw Jamaica Tallawahs swat aside Barbados Royals by 41 runs in a high-scoring affair at Warner Park in St Kitts.

Jangoo and Reifer power Jamaica to a mammoth total

After being put into bat first, the Tallawahs got an undesirable start, losing Kennar Lewis in the second over.

However, the other opener Amir Jangoo showcased his power-hitting prowess to perfection. Despite wickets tumbling at the other end, the 25-year-old batter kept taking the Royals bowlers to the cleaners, scoring a breathtaking 27-ball 68*. He got the ideal support from Raymon Reifer, who blasted his way through to a 19-ball 57* with the help of eight fours and three gigantic sixes.

The monstrous hitting by these two batters propelled the Tallawahs to a massive total of 162 runs at the end of 10 overs.

The three wickets fallen were equally shared by Corbin Bosch, Jason Holder and Nyeem Young

Reifer runs riot as Barbados fall short of their target

After contributing with the bat in the most convincing manner, Reifer starred with the ball as well, picking three wickets for just 16 runs. His stellar effort was vital in bundling out Barbados for 121 runs.

Although Rahkeem Cornwall (25 off 8), Corbin Bosch (33 off 18) and Harry Tector (35 off 18) put up some fight, their valiant efforts eventually went in vain.

Nicholson Gordon emerged as the second most successful bowler from Jamaica, scalping two wickets for 18 runs.
