In a dominant display of spin bowling, Ravi Bishnoi recorded the best bowling figures of his T20I career as he dismantled the Zimbabwean batting lineup with precision and skill, finishing with figures of 4-13 in his four-over spell.

A young and new India, led by Shubman Gill, faced Zimbabwe in the five-game T20I series opener earlier today at Harare. Gill won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first in what seemed a decent wicket to bat on.

However, Indian spinners left no room for error and asked tough questions to Zimbabwe. Ravi Bishnoi, in particular, bowled his finest spell.

His first breakthrough came early when he deceived opener Brian Bennett with a well-disguised googly that disturbed the stumps.

Bishnoi continued to apply pressure, consistently hitting the right lengths and forcing the batters into making mistakes.  His second wicket was a beautifully bowled googly that stayed straight and crashed onto the stumps as Madhevere missed the line completely.

The Zimbabwean middle order had no answer to Bishnoi's spin mastery, and his third wicket came from another perfectly executed googly, trapping the batter Jongwe plumb in front.

Blessing Muzarabani was Bishnoi's last victim as he finished with a four-wicket haul and allowed only 13 runs in his four-over spell.

This is the spinner's best figure in T20I cricket, and his total format tally is now 40 wickets in 25 games.

Notably, Ravi Bishnoi was previously named ICC No.1 T20I bowler last year after his exceptional performance in the Australia bilateral series.

Needless to say, it's just the start of Bishnoi's rise in international cricket, who promises to be a crucial asset for India in the years to come.
