Rahul Dravid, India's current head coach and former Indian skipper is all set to continue his coaching duties till 2024 T20 World Cup according to the latest contract extension by BCCI. Dravid took over the role of Indian head coach after the 2021 T20 World Cup debacle and since then has played a pivotal role in India's preparation across formats.

After the heartbreaking loss in the World Cup 2023 final though, there were speculations that his contract will not be renewed further, but with T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in June 2024, the BCCI and Dravid have decided to continue their partnership. He will also travel along with Indian team for the T20I series that will kick off India's tour to South Africa on December 5.

The contracts of other support staff members have also been extended till end of June 2024 as the final of the T20 World Cup is set to be played on 30th of June, with the start date being 3rd of June.

India have so far played the WTC final, World Cup 2023 final and T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid, and the legendary batter would be hoping to end that trophy drought with A T20 World Cup title in the Caribbean.
