The much anticipated ICC Mens ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 finals kicked off in front of a jam-packed crowd. Celebrities and influential people from all walks of life arrived at Narendra Modi Stadium to witness the cricket carnival.

From actor Shah Rukh Khan to spiritual leader Sadguru to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, all graced the epic event. Many from overseas also joined the crowd of 1,30,000 people.

Having said that, earlier, images of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi leaving for Ahmedabad in his convoy surfaced on the internet. However, during the entire first half of the matchup, the prime minister was nowhere to be seen.

Just a reminder, the Indian Prime minister was expected to attend the big finals with his counterpart, Anthony Albanese. Nonetheless, Shri Narendra Modi finally graced the occasion during the chase.

He was seated alongside close aide and Home Minister Amit Shah but seemed a little tense. After all, the Indian side wasn't in a comfortable place.

At the time when the PM arrived at the cricket stadium, which is also named after him, the host nation was struggling to fetch a wicket. Despite consecutive dismissals of Smith and Warner, Travis Head led from the front to put his side, the Aussies, in a comfortable position.

Travis Head secured a ton, and Australia is now just a few runs from lifting their sixth World Cup title.

Meanwhile, it's an absolute heartbreak for the Indian side, who dominated the entire tournament in every aspect. They made it to the semis with an unbeaten streak and absorbed the pressure of the semi-finals to oust the Kiwis.

But the mighty Australia emerged as the better side on the given day. Needless to say, the fans, celebrities, and even Prime Minister Modi will go home with a gloomy face tonight.
