New T20I captain loading?
Pakistan lost to both New Zealand and India and their game against Bangladesh was abandoned as the home side crashed out of the Champions Trophy without winning a single match. Now, almost all the senior players are under PCB's radar and as per Pakistan's senior journalist, Ejaz Wasim Bakhri, PCB Chief, Mohsin Naqvi has decided to remove Rizwan from the T20I captaincy.
Rizwan was the leader in both white-ball formats, but after a dismal showing, PCB decided to reduce Rizwan's workload and he won't captain the team against New Zealand in the upcoming T20I series. Instead, it will be out of favour, Shadab Khan, who is likely to be made the captain for the team.
Several changes expected in Pakistan team
Not only Rizwan's captaincy, but there are several other changes expected in the Pakistan side in the coming few weeks.
It has been reported that Aaqib Javed, the current head coach of the Pakistan side will lose his job as PCB aren't willing to extend his contract. Moreover, as per reports, former spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq is likely to takeover as the next Pakistan head coach.
The PCB chairman wasn't impressed with Pakistan's performance in Champions Trophy and they are also willing to drop other senior players in order to incorporate fresh energy in the team.
