PCB Chief, Zaka Ashraf Takes U-Turn From His 'Provoking' Statement Against India

All the teams arrived in India for the biggest contest in the cricket world, Cricket World Cup 2023. Team Pakistan, who were having issues with visas, arrived yesterday in Hyderabad. They are currently playing their first warm-up game against New Zealand. 

When the Pakistan team reached India, PCB Chief, Zaka Ashraf made a statement against India. He suffered a huge amount of backlash after making that statement. Due to the increased amount of backlash and a warm welcome by India, Chief Zaka took a U-turn from his statement today.

Earlier, Zaka made a statement saying that the morale of the players should be high when they go to an enemy country. This statement of his, caused a stir on the internet as he was referring to India as the enemy country despite the beautiful welcome for all the teams.

After the warm welcome that Pakistan team received at the airport and at the Hotel, PCB Chief suffered a huge backlash from the Indian fans. The fans believed despite this warm reception, he should appreciate instead of making comments like these. 

Zaka Ashraf, today, altered his statement saying that every time India and Pakistan steps onto the cricket field, they emerge as the traditional rivals not the enemies. He also highlighted the warm reception that the Pakistan team received on arrival and said that this welcome shows mutual affection that exists among the people of the both countries.

The Indian team will take on their arch-rivals Pakistan on the 14th of October in the biggest stadium of the world and in front of 120,000 fans.
