'Pakistan Zinda Bhaag'- Virender Sehwag Trolls Babar Azam's Team After WC Elimination

On Thursday, New Zealand annihilated Sri Lanka in the 41st league-stage match of the 2023 World Cup. The BlackCaps' thumping win not only boosted their semifinal chances but also shattered the World Cup dreams of Pakistan, who desperately needed the Lankans to win to stay alive in the competition.

Meanwhile, after New Zealand's clinical performance buried Pakistan's semifinal hopes, legendary Indian batter Virender Sehwag came up with a tweet to troll the neighbouring nation.

Taking to social media X (formerly Twitter), Sehwag altered the famous slogan 'Pakistan Zindabad' to 'Pakistan Zinda Bhaag' (Pakistan, flee alive) with a meme reading 'Bye Bye Pakistan', rubbing salt in their injuries.

He further quoted the same tweet and remarked cheekily,

"Pakistan ki khaas baat hai ki jis team ko Pakistan support karti hai, woh team Pakistan ki tarah khelne lagti hai (The speciality about Pakistan is whichever team they support, they start playing like them). Sorry Sri Lanka."

Regarding Pakistan, the Babar Azam-led side needs to pull off an improbable task of defeating England by at least 287 runs or chase down a 300-run target inside six overs to overtake New Zealand in the semifinal race. With their World Cup campaign done and dusted, they will look to salvage their pride when they take on the Englishmen in Kolkata on Saturday.
