Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has rated the progress of team India very highly and said that the improvement in the cricket structure in the country brought about the development of the game in the country. He criticised administrations handling cricket in Pakistan for not making the best use of the talents, which he said are more in Pakistan than in India.
"Look at India today, they are becoming a top team in the world because they improved their structure although we have more talent,” Imran Khan said in Islamabad.
However, he asserted that the system in Pakistan is changing and positive results will come in near future.
“Honestly speaking I am not able to spare time for cricket and have not even watched the matches but now that our basic cricket structure has been changed, things will improve gradually, he said.
Notably, Imran Khan has rung many changes in Pakistan cricket. He roped in Ehsan Mani to lead the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) soon after assuming office in 2018. Later, the domestic cricket has been restructured into six provincial teams from earlier 16 regional and departmental teams.
Imran is a world-cup winning captain of Pakistan and he has played a massive role in the inspiring generation younger to him to take up cricket as a professional sport and the results have shown big-time for Pakistan cricket.
